O nas

It is one of the oldest structures on the historical map of the Tri-City. The settlement has historical and educational value and is visited by large numbers of both tourists and students.
Grodzisko off Haffnera street is an ancient structure in an area of 45 x 49,5 m. It dates from the 8-10th century. The structure held a strategic defensive location in the Pomeranian area and aroused the respect of both locals and potential enemies alike. Many similar structures existed and are being discovered and documented by the Archeological Museum of Gdansk.

It is one of the oldest structures on the historical map of the Tri-City. The settlement has historical and educational value and is visited by large numbers of both tourists and students. The area inspires the imagination of its many visitors who marvel at the long cultural tradition of the Pomeranian area.

The site is maintained by the Archeological Museum of Gdansk. It is located next to what is not Aquapark, overlooking sandy beaches and the rich greenery of the town parks. The site used to be a major trading area and various goods have been found there, such as glass beads made in Byzantine factories. The inhabitants of the settlement almost certainly offered in exchange goods such as amber.

The Archeological Museum of Gdansk wishes to bring the culture and traditions of the early middle ages closer to the people by organising for the last two years festivals during which visitors can enjoy knight shows and other presentations of early culture.

The site is open from May 1st until October 31st
